1. Who we are

RISE Web is a website design and development service operated by RISE Broadcast LLC, registered in the Sharjah Media City Free Zone ("Shams"), United Arab Emirates. Our website is weriseweb.com. You can reach us through our contact page.

2. What data we collect

When you use our contact form or configurator, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and details about your project or enquiry.

Our website uses Umami Analytics, a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data that identifies you individually.

When you use the free Website Health Check tool, we collect the URL you submit and, if you request the full report, the email address you provide to receive it.

We do not knowingly collect payment card details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data through this website.

3. Why we collect it and our legal basis for processing

We process the personal data described above for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss your project (necessary to take steps towards a contract at your request).
  • To deliver the Website Health Check report you requested (necessary to provide the service you asked for).
  • To send you information about your project once we are working together (necessary for the performance of that contract).
  • With your explicit consent, to send you occasional updates about RISE Web's services. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any such message.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. How we use your data

We use enquiry and project data solely to respond to you, scope and deliver your project, and provide any support you've engaged us for. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share data with service providers who help us operate (for example, hosting or email infrastructure providers) strictly to the extent needed to provide our services to you, and only under terms that require them to protect your data appropriately.

5. Where your data is stored and international transfers

Project and enquiry data may be stored on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates, including with infrastructure providers such as AWS. Where we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to receive an appropriate standard of protection, consistent with the requirements of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "PDPL").

6. Data retention

We retain enquiry and project data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, and afterwards for a limited period to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. As a general guideline, enquiry data not converted into a project is retained for up to 2 years from the date of submission. You may ask us to delete your data sooner at any time — see Section 7.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the PDPL, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we hold about you and request a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal or contractual reason we may need to keep it.
  • Withdraw any consent you've given us, at any time.
  • Object to certain processing of your data.
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data while a request is being considered.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within the timeframe required by applicable law.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including secure hosting infrastructure and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously and review our practices periodically.

9. Children's privacy

This website and our services are intended for businesses and individuals over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Cookies

This website does not use cookies for analytics. Our analytics tool (Umami) is cookie-free by design. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

11. Third-party links

Our website links to third-party sites, including client project examples and the tools listed on our Open-Source Stack page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or to comply with legal requirements. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Governing law and contact

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including the PDPL. If you have questions or concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve them directly.

This policy is intended as a clear, general-purpose description of our data practices and is not a substitute for tailored legal advice. If your project involves processing sensitive categories of personal data, large-scale data processing, or operates in a regulated sector (health, finance, etc.), we recommend a qualified UAE data protection lawyer review this policy against your specific circumstances before relying on it as your sole privacy documentation.
